TS110
Self Powered Governor

The TS110 is a self-powered electronic governor. A 9V battery provides enough power to the integral I/P converter to initially open the steam control valve. Once the turbine is running, the speed probes provide speed measurement and enough voltage to continue powering the TS110. The TS110 allows for replacement of hydro-mechanical governors on remote location steam turbines, where external power may not be readily available. Major features of the TS110 include:

  • Self powered (no external operating power required)
  • Integral I/P converter to interface with a pneumatic positioner
  • Isochronous and droop speed control
  • Electronic overspeed function
  • Digital tachometer speed readout
  • Local and remote shutdown
  • Local speed setpoint
  • 4 -20 mA or 3-15 psig remote speed setpoint options
  • Broader speed control range than any mechanical governor
  • Backup unit auto-start
  • Standard NEMA 4X stainless steel enclosure
