When it comes to control for rotating equipment, TSx provides the flexibility of a PLC, the reliability and integrity of a safety system, and the speed and power of a dedicated controller.
TSx is a robust, programmable control platform that includes Tri-Sen turbomachinery control libraries. It offers a wide range of I/O, including an on-board servo control module. TSx can be applied to a wide range of applications, including integrated turbine-compressor control, mechanical loads such as fans, pumps, blowers, gas turbine control, and turbine-generator control.
- Turbines
- Tri-Sen has extensive experience supplying control systems for steam turbines, from single-stage up to large reheat applications. Our references include two-valve and three-valve extraction/induction applications, sliding pressure and unique machines with counter–rotating rotors.
- In addition to steam turbines, we have experience supplying control systems for aero-derivative and industrial gas turbines ranging from small to large MW.
- Compressors
- At Tri-Sen, we provide integrated turbine/compressor control systems for both simple and complex applications. Our integrated systems will provide compressor anti-surge control, turbine protection, start-up sequencing, speed/load control, etc. Our compressor algorithms will handle applications such as multi-stage refrigeration, FCCU air blower and wet gas compression, and multi-compressor load sharing.
- Generators
- Tri-Sen combines control logic for generator excitation and synchronizing with turbine protection, start-up sequencing, speed/load control, and alarm management in a single integrated control system. Our systems also offer generator excitation control and limiting features to better protect your generator while enabling significant performance improvement.
- Turbine Safety
- Tri-Sen can provide a complete turbine protection system that has all the turbine alarm and shutdown functions consolidated into one very powerful and fast controller. We have I/O for monitoring shaft speed, shaft acceleration, bearing temperatures, lube oil pressure, radial and axial shaft displacement, exhaust temperature, turbine vacuum and reverse rotation. And TSx can be provided in configurations that meet SIL 2 and SIL 3. We have 1ms time stamping for both our digital inputs and analog inputs plus first-in first-out software for analyzing events.
- Communications
- TSx has a wide range of communications capabilities. These include serial Modbus, Modbus over TCP/IP, OPC and HART.
